The older my friends and I get, the more joy we get from reminiscing. Especially friendships that have survived when school is finished. There's just something about having gotten through the other side with these people - spending many long hours together, often seeing each other at our worst - and choosing to continue to having them in your life because you can't imagine it without them.

"JJM" - as we call ourselves - have been through a lot collectively and individually. We joke that our friendship endured us living in three different countries and through six degrees between us. Our friendship has certainly grown and matured and I do think I'm a better person for it.

We're closing in on two decades (eep!) and even though they are and have always been miles ahead in their personal lives, they have never made me feel like I'm behind. I'm always grateful for that.
