I really do have a bad habit of "binge-watching" things. I really do much better with the traditional series that release episodes on a weekly basis for a more reasonable consumption rate. It's why I often put off watching shows that I hear good things about, because I know I'm likely to be sucked into that vortex and it probably isn't a healthy habit to have.
So! I breezed through Cells At Work - my first anime series in a long while - because Wesley showed us a few episodes while we were over and I'm a sucker for physiology and cuteness! Definitely a light, breezy show which only really made me think "wow, this must be the most reckless human ever!" and made me laugh despite how slightly macabre it was at times.
The other show I had started earlier this week and finished today was Russian Doll. Part of me just feels like I would follow Amy Poehler into any project, but it was a genuinely intriguing show and actually quite sweet under it's acerbic surface. I would be mad at myself for not picking up on how it would end, except that I am very rarely the type of person who notes any kind of subtle foreshadowing so it's really par for the course. I love when people change for the better because of someone else and become almost fiercely bonded to each other through circumstance, so it hit all those buttons perfectly.
At least I have two weeks of vacation coming up, which means I should be free from binge-watching for a little while!
