"Best friend family" (consisting of best bud forever, her husband who is also a very good bud, and their daughter - my semi-namesake) have arrived! They dropped by for a 15 minute visit in the waiting area of the clinic, and the semi-namesake was very shy with me again. We won't be able to spend as much time as we usually endeavour to do on their visits due to our separate obligations, so we may not be able to establish the same rapport as their last visit, but them's the breaks! It is a little crazy hearing her form little sentences in her tiny voice though.
It is always interesting to me just how much the same my friends still are in many ways, while being very much parents in others. I guess I always wonder if I would sacrifice/lose a part of myself if I became a parent, not that I am in any danger of that happening. Thoughts for another day when my brain is not totally fried.
